We know it can be a bit intimidating to visit a church for the first time, so we want to provide you with an outline of what you can expect from your visit to Grace Church: Nashville. We’re a friendly, enthusiastic church of all colors, ages, backgrounds, and types, and we’re glad you’re coming to visit!

Parking

Visitor parking is located directly in front of the main entrance. Spaces just for you are marked with green cones labeled “First-Time Visitor.”

Atmosphere

A member of our welcome team will greet you as you enter the front doors. We provide free, locally-roasted coffee before each service at our welcome and information desk. There, you can also meet our welcome agents, who will answer any questions you may have about Grace Church: Nashville. Restrooms are located to the right and left of the welcome and information desk. There are two entrances to the sanctuary, each through the outer hallways to the right and left sides of the lobby.

Wardrobe

We encourage you to come to the feet of Jesus in whatever manner you feel most comfortable. You will see everything from jeans and t-shirts to “Sunday Best” suits and ties – feel free to come as you are! With us, you’ll never be judged or treated differently by how dressy or casual you appear, your taste in body art, or the amount of money it looks like you have in your bank account. Our desire is to come to the Lord with one voice, as one body – with many parts.

Service Length

Our services begin at 9 and 11 AM each Sunday. The 9 AM gathering ends by about 10:35 AM, including about 25-35 minutes of worship at the start of service. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to secure your seat, have a free cup of locally roasted coffee, and become acquainted with our worship center.

Worship

You’ll see pretty quickly that we love to worship through music! You will hear music from every stage and style of the church, from timeless hymns to the newest worship anthems, from gospel to modern worship, and everything in between. We have a spectacular choir that participates in worship about once every two weeks (with a break during July-August). And we love to worship enthusiastically! From raised hands to dancing feet, there will be active praise going on throughout the sanctuary. Just know that you may participate in whatever posture is comfortable for you, and will never be required to engage in any specific way.

Preaching

Pastor Lindell Cooley is passionate about preaching the full gospel in his messages. His sermons include a mixture of preaching styles, varying from expository to narrative to topical from week to week. Pastor Lindell employs a combination of profound and thought-provoking biblical truth with practical life application points. CLICK HERE to listen to podcasts of recent sermons.

Communion

We come to the table of the Lord corporately on the first Sunday of each month, and on Easter Sunday. During this time, we celebrate the Eucharist by the taking of bread and wine to symbolically represent the body and blood of Jesus. You do not have to be a member or regular attender of Grace Church to participate in communion with us.

Membership

If you have decided to make Grace your home church, you will be invited to participate in First Things, a six-week exploration of our history, beliefs, standards, church practices, and volunteer opportunities within our church body. There are 2-3 of these courses each year; however, you are not required to hold official membership to participate in our community groups and certain volunteer groups. To learn how you can connect with others within Grace Church, go to the “Connect” tab above and find where you can get involved.
